Kaya Vattal (Banana Chips)

Kaya vattal is a favorite snack liked by all. It’s made when festivities like Onam & Vishu come calling.

Ingredients


Raw Nendrakkaya – cut into thin round slices
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Coconut oil – as required for deep frying
Salt to taste

Method

Heat oil for deep frying, add salt and turmeric powder to the hot oil. Deep fry the round slices. When fried and done, take it out of the pan and serve when needed.
